Mourning handkerchiefs, also known as funeral handkerchiefs, were widely used during the Victorian era. Initially they were a white handkerchief with a black border, but have evolved to include all-black handkerchiefs with lace trims. These handkerchiefs are the perfect keepsake for memorial services, whether used plain, or with a suitable embellishment (like our Celtic Cross design, or another from our cross collection).
